"Patricia and I had many overlapping interests, education and work as holistic medical practitioners. We both became disabled with electromagnetically sensitivity (EMS) by ubiquitous wireless radiation and were forced to learn how to measure the invisible pollutant and protect ourselves in order to survive. We shared information, both of us were strong advocates for safer use of technology for the sake of animals, people and the environment. This became harder for Pat to do since her only internet access was unsafe WiFi at the library.
We worked for our legal ADA rights (Americans with Disabilities Act) for accommodations but these are rarely given to those with EMS, despite being 12% of the population now. Many thousands are homeless or suffering in unsafe living situations with no safe way to communicate with the outside world, no safe public access. Pat had to relocate because her landlady decided to put up an OTARD (wireless internet device) making her RV unsafe. She sent out urgent emails asking people to help her find a safe place to live. She thought seriously about going to Green Bank WV (the only US location where radio-frequencies are not allowed) and sent me options for remote land she was looking at but nothing materialized in time, it seems.
I’ve been searching for her many, many months since she stopped replying to my emails, hoping she wasn't another EMS casualty — crying since her obituary was found. She is the 2nd person disabled with EMS who has died in the last month (that we know of). Our EMS/ Safe Technology community is deeply grieved by this and wonder how many must die before our Constitutional and disabled rights will be supported by society?
